About RiverTown

I founded RiverTown Family Fun Center in Rensselaer, Indiana, because I believed families in rural communities deserved better access to places where they could spend meaningful time together.

What started as a vision for a family entertainment destination along the Iroquois River quickly became something much bigger.

Building RiverTown has been an entrepreneurial journey filled with financial challenges, property development, creative problem-solving, and more than a few changes in direction. But through it all, one conviction has remained constant: strong families are foundational to strong communities.

Over time, I came to recognize that playgrounds, birthday parties, and recreational activities weren't really the end goal. They were tools for addressing something deeper: the growing need for affordable family experiences, meaningful relationships, community belonging, and places where children and parents can thrive together.

That realization has shaped RiverTown's evolution from a traditional family entertainment business into a broader vision for a family-centered community institution, supported by sustainable recreation, nonprofit partnerships, and organizations that share our commitment to strengthening families.

My goal is no longer simply to build a successful fun center. It's to establish a place that becomes part of the fabric of the community: a place families return to, children grow up with, and future generations can call their own.
